We strive to maximise our social and environmental impact for a cleaner planet with active waste reduction policies and ethical working conditions and policies. Our sourcing decisions maximise our impact, we audit our suppliers and subcontractors for recyclability and ethical practices. We are working to change our industry through our choices. We are against greenwashing, our sustainability impact is reduced by the lack of recycled alternatives. We actively reduce waste through our recycling policies under the extended producer responsibility (epr) in markets where recycling plants are still lacking.
GLASS:
35% RECYCLED BLACK GLASS
We wanted 100% but the industry only currently supplies wild glass in 100% which has too many defects for a luxury product (we are encouraging recycled glass suppliers to develop luxury glass for the industry).
SCREW CAP PUMP & COLLAR:
0% RECYCLABLE
We incentivise recycling, all our bottles are refillable and we suggest customers re-use the screw pumps when they return the bottle for refilling.
CAP:
LUXURIOUS 33G SULAPAC
The cap material has been developed as an alternative to bakelite, this is a 100% biodegradable innovation, our cap has been developed as a double wall and is luxuriously heavy, we couldn’t include a magnetic closure, the cap must be mono material to be recyclable (bakelite is a petrochemical derivative which is toxic to the planet).
LABEL:
RPP RECYCLABLE POLYPROPELENE
The product needs to resist perfume spills, the label can be easily removed, some recycling plants will handle this, both items can be placed in the recycling bin
POUCH: 100% RECYCLED TEXTILES
Recycled cotton pouch and drawstring both recyclable
RECYCLED: 89% RECYCLABLE: 90%
Final percentage to be confirmed following production.
